Ideacto for National Forests — Bielik on-line

Ideacto cooperates with the State Forests on the on-line transmission of the Bald Eagle nest. The proprietary Video CMS software is used to ensure smooth image transmission.

The aim of the project implemented by the State Forests together with the Eagle Conservation Committee is to spread knowledge about these birds and strengthen their conservation. Online streaming directly from the bird's nest gives the audience the opportunity to be in close contact with the wild nature.

The use of on-line streaming of the image from the nest allowed tens of thousands of recipients to “touch nature” without any time or territorial restrictions without unnecessary disturbance to the animals. This solution, combined with social media, is an ideal tool for propagating the idea behind the action,” said Marek Matecki from the State Forests, responsible for coordinating the campaign.

Support in social media will allow the message about online transmission to reach the leading online media through citizen journalism portals and from there to the traditional media. This is a model example of how information spreads through the media.

During the week, the broadcast was on the main Wykop.pl website, then on Gazeta.pl portals, and later on Radiowa Trójka to appear in Events in Polsat at the weekend.

The broadcast was watched at peak by more than 2200 simultaneous viewers. This level has been maintained for many days. Fanpage of the action in a dozen days attracted more than 14 thousand fans.

In total, the video stream has so far had more than 100,000 views, watched by more than 60,000 unique users.
