Księgarnia Internetowa Gandalf.com.pl invests in redesign

Interactive agency Ideacto will design a new interface for www.gandalf.com.pl. Księgarnia Internetowa Gandalf is one of the leading Polish online stores. In 2010, Gandalf was recognized as the number 1 online store in the category “Culture and entertainment” in the Money.pl and Wprost Ranking.

Currently, there are already more than 180 thousand products in the store database: books, videos, audio books, puzzles, multimedia. For customers, one of the key aspects is convenient navigation through such a rich offer. The development of the offer prompted the management of the bookstore to carry out a redesign. The interactive agency Ideacto was chosen for this task.

Ideacto will conduct a study of the current site using expert analysis and user testing. In the course of the research, the problems faced by users will be identified. The results will be the basis for designing prototypes of the new service. Ideacto will also design a new graphic design.

In online bookstores, usability often has a decisive influence on sales efficiency and customer satisfaction. Incorporating research into design significantly increases the chance of creating a business-friendly, business-friendly project.

The redesign of the Gandalf.com.pl bookstore will be carried out in the User Centred Design methodology. The whole process will begin a cycle of research focused on the needs of users and testing current solutions used in the bookstore. The project team will gain knowledge of what users expect and what is currently causing them a problem. The solutions proposed by Ideacto will be aimed at increasing the usability of the website and strengthening the positive feelings and satisfaction of customers - says Anna Radyno, User Experience Designer at Ideacto

The project will be carried out in March 2011.
