UX Thursday #104

Illustration of, laptop, notebook, person reading

Old Man's Day. Today is dedicated to objects. Not just any, because precious and charming. It might seem that seemingly useless, but certainly related to some story. Slightly bitten by the tooth of time, abandoned somewhere in a corner and waiting for their moment. Like objects, we also collect information. To this collection we attach today's post, and in it a few words about working with the design thinking method, moodboards in design work and creating products according to the principles of accessibility.

Create a moodboard

It depicts feelings, states, ideas and impressions. It seeks to capture certain emotions, moods, and characteristics. Moodboard. Useful both in the process of creating a visual identity, the concept of a music video, and in UX design. IN Article published by Nielsen Norman Group we read that it is not only a tool that simply stimulates creativity, but also facilitates communication, especially at the initial stage of work, when it is so important for people with even little design experience to understand the idea and the motivations behind it.

With Accessibility in Mind

POUR is an abbreviation of the English language, which stands for a set of four functional accessibility principles divided into categories: percepivable, functional (operable), understandable (understandable) and robust (robust). It concerns the availability of networks and technology. About the POUR policy set and many others that are helpful in the process of creating products and content with accessibility in mind, writes in his article Daniel Yuschick.

Farewell to Asana

One of the components of the success of any project is the skillful management of tasks, resources and time. Fortunately, the stage when we only had a notebook at our disposal is over. Projects are now written in dedicated tools such as Asana. However, there are other solutions as well. User Guiding prepared a list of programs that are alternatives for this popular tool. From the article we learn that there are many other options that have been compared in terms of functionality, price, operation and user experience.

The recipe for a successful design thinking workshop

Design thinking workshops, or design thinking workshops in the spirit of innovation and creativity, are increasingly popular in various industries and environments. They can last several hours, a whole day or even a few days. The goals of the workshop can be different - creative problem solving, finding a competitive advantage, or building bonds in a team. On the UxPin blog you can read learn more about the advantages of this solution and learn how to conduct such workshops achieving success for yourself, your project and your team.
