At the beginning of June 2015, a new educational web platform was launched for MACMILLAN POLAND — part of the MACMILLAN Group, one of the largest publishing groups in the world. She was responsible for the functional, graphic design and implementation creative eCommerce agency Ideacto.
To meet the expectations of its customers, MACMILLAN POLSKA has created a special service Macmillan Online Staffkamer offering English and German teachers free access to digital versions of Macmillan course components. The resources made available on the platform include, among others, a teacher's book, banks of additional materials, tests, audio recordings, Flashcards. This solution allows teachers to use the service on multiple devices simultaneously (e.g. at home, at school) without the need to install additional software.
The tasks of the Ideacto agency included the comprehensive implementation of the project — establishing the technical specification and adapting it to the possibilities of WordPress, developing functional mock-ups, graphic design, implementation, testing and commissioning of the website.
The staffroom.pl website was implemented on the basis of CMS WordPress, constantly used in the work of Ideacto. Thanks to this, we were able to guarantee the customer a simple and fast service after its launch - says Marcin Cichoń, Operational Director of Ideacto responsible for the coordination of the project.
As part of the project, a version of the website based on RWD (Responsive Web Design) technology was also prepared. The platform works flawlessly on mobile devices, responding to the needs of teachers using smartphones and tablets at work.
