UX Thursday #25

Illustration of, laptop, notebook, person reading

Today is the Day of Evergreen Plants, so we surround our Christmas trees with tender care and let the senses cool down under one of them. Even if you're still in the woods preparing for the holidays, you might find time to track upcoming trends, read about NUI interfaces, and hear what two UX designers have to say about their work.

Have a nice reception!

1. Report: 10 Hot Consumer Trends by 2030

Do users expect an Internet that will engage not only sight and hearing, but also the rest of the senses? Researchers at Ericsson Consumer & IndustryLab have been looking for answers to this question — the result is a report presenting 10 hot trends that have a chance to dominate the virtual world by 2030.

2. Natural interactions

Designers make every effort to make objects of the virtual world behave like their real counterparts. But what makes interaction with electronics seem intuitive and almost tangible to us? Ditte Mortensen explains succinctly, what is the design of user interfaces referred to as “natural”.

3. The recipe for perfect colors

Designers from the Heydays agency presented the results of your work on an algorithm that automates the selection of colors - supposedly the content placed in the created streaming service will not only provide a “colorful experience”, but will be presented on a platform that meets the principles of accessibility.

4. Ladies in the UX world

SWPS University Design Zone shared on YouTube recording of the conversation, which was held at the end of last month by Natalia Bienias and Aga Naplocha. It's about the situation of women and the possibilities of their professional development in the world of UX design — put an ear up.

5. Report: UX industry in 2020

We started with a forecast for the coming years and we end with a forecast (a little less distant). A neat summary of the vision UX industry in the coming 2020 by Fabricia Teixeira and Caia Bragi is our last proposal this year. Have a good rest during the upcoming Christmas...

We remind you that if you would like to share with us interesting links from the world of UX, send your proposals to newsletter@ideacto.pl, and we will be happy to share them in the next UX Thursdays. [FM_form id=” 1″]
