Together with our technological partner, Unity Group, we conducted a comprehensive redesign of the website for Nest Bank. At IDEACTO, we were responsible for conducting the advisory stage, which included audits and workshops, as well as designing the information architecture and graphical interface.
We started working on the new version of the website by analyzing the usability of the current website, graphic creations and analysis of traffic and user behavior. On the basis of the collected data and the workshops carried out, we have developed a strategic concept for the new version of the website.

Purpose of the project
The key objective of the project was to deliver a website compliant with the bank's new visual identity and characterized by high usability. Nest Bank aimed to receive a user-friendly, simple, and intuitive design. Simultaneously, the bank's project team emphasized the importance of maintaining high sales figures, as the website is a crucial sales channel for banking products.
01.
1. PREDESIGN analysis
At this stage, we systematize business requirements, analyze the market environment, and define the needs and expectations of end users
02.
2. Strategic concept
Based on the gathered information and data from the analytical stage during workshops with the client, we develop a strategic concept for the proposed solution
03.
3. Information Architecture and wireframing
Before proceeding to the final project design, we develop the structure of the solution and define the key relationships between the elements of the proposed solution
04.
4. Graphic Design
Based on the guidelines and semi-finished products developed in earlier stages, we create the final graphic design of the solution
05.
5. Testing and optimization
The generated projects undergo testing with users, and after implementation, we carry out optimization based on available quantitative and qualitative data sources
Project progress
1. Comprehensive audit and kick-off workshop
The redesign project was preceded by a thorough analysis from the perspective of usability, graphic design, and traffic statistics. Based on the findings, a kick-off workshop was held during which IDEACTO experts collaborated with representatives of Nest Bank. Common project goals were defined, its further course, and key business requirements were analyzed.
2. A series of workshops with stakeholders
Redesigning the service of an institution such as a bank requires contact with a large number of stakeholders on the client's side. During a series of workshops, IDEACTO team held meetings to understand the needs of all departments within the bank, including those responsible for the product offering, as well as support departments such as HR and Compliance. The workshop-based work was highly effective due to the significant involvement of the bank's team, allowing for the development of initial wireframe sketches and a preliminary approach to the content layer (tone of voice).
3. Information architecture redesign
The result of the workshop work was the development of a project to change the information architecture of the service. The new information architecture (IA) took into account the needs of all stakeholders and introduced a non-standard tone of voice for communications, such as using section names like "For you and your family" and "For your business" instead of "Individual client" and "Business client."
4. User Experience Design
IDEACTO designers prepared 30 dedicated wireframes in both mobile and desktop versions. When designing the wireframes, it was important to consider the context of their future implementation - the client chose the Kentico CMS system to manage the website. Therefore, the wireframes utilized native solutions available in this system and considered the possibility of building new subpages using previously designed elements (web parts).
5. User Interface Design
Based on the developed functional wireframes, UI designers began creating the visual layer of the website. According to the client's requirements, the graphic design was to be characterized by minimalism and clarity. Thus, a completely new visual language for nestbank.pl had to be created from scratch. Part of the graphic design process was also the creation of a style guide, which facilitated the implementation and subsequent development of the website for the deployment team.
6. Cooperation with the deployment team
The Nest Bank website redesign project was conducted using Agile methodology in close cooperation between IDEACTO agency and the deployment company, Unity Group. By implementing the project in successive sprints, many elements of the website could be developed in parallel. The client did not have to wait for the completion of comprehensive UX and UI design work before handing over the project for implementation. As a result of this approach, the website was deployed a month ahead of the initially scheduled deadline.
Results
The numbers speak for themselves
Thanks to the expertise of IDEACTO team, the project entirely met the client's expectations. The website is characterized by higher usability and delivers information to the bank's customers in a friendly and transparent manner, resulting in a 60% decrease in bounce rate.
There has been a notable increase in the conversion rate, with some banking products seeing a rise of up to 46%. Additionally, the website demonstrates greater potential for lead generation.
As expected by the client, the website ensures better scalability and the possibility of development through the implementation of a package of designed web parts.
Summary
