The car selection configurator is a key part of the customer's purchasing journey. When redesigning it, we analyzed analytical data and consulted with both their customers and the marketing and sales team, who offered valuable insights from offline processes.
Based on feedback from customers and the sales team, we established three main goals for the redesign:
- Adapt the configurator for various devices - as 50% of traffic originated from mobile devices.
- Consolidate configuration funnels into one - dividing budget vs. car type posed challenges for customers.
- Enable car selection based on selected criteria - in the previous version, customers had to choose all parameters to view car offers, leading to frustration.
After testing, launching, and analyzing the new funnel, we embarked on a completely new project - enabling car selection through refined filtering (from brand, through model to configuration).
The idea for this process emerged during research and interviews with customers and Vehiculum employees conducted for a previous project. We successfully persuaded the client of this approach, enabling users visiting the Vehiculum website to access their dream car offer quickly and directly.
