Purpose of the project

Redesigning the car selection configurator was the project that marked the beginning of our collaboration with Vehiculum. Our objectives were to consolidate the existing two funnels into one, with a strong emphasis on mobile. The previous solution was not optimized for mobile devices, and the configuration process (selecting a car based on budget / selecting a car based on type) proved to be too complex for customers.

The generated projects undergo testing with users, and after implementation, we carry out optimization based on available quantitative and qualitative data sources

Scope of work

The car selection configurator is a key part of the customer's purchasing journey. When redesigning it, we analyzed analytical data and consulted with both their customers and the marketing and sales team, who offered valuable insights from offline processes.

Based on feedback from customers and the sales team, we established three main goals for the redesign:

  • Adapt the configurator for various devices - as 50% of traffic originated from mobile devices.
  • Consolidate configuration funnels into one - dividing budget vs. car type posed challenges for customers.
  • Enable car selection based on selected criteria - in the previous version, customers had to choose all parameters to view car offers, leading to frustration.

After testing, launching, and analyzing the new funnel, we embarked on a completely new project - enabling car selection through refined filtering (from brand, through model to configuration).

The idea for this process emerged during research and interviews with customers and Vehiculum employees conducted for a previous project. We successfully persuaded the client of this approach, enabling users visiting the Vehiculum website to access their dream car offer quickly and directly.

Our solution boiled down to one goal - enabling users to find a specific car model in the best configuration for them. In this project, we introduced a simple process - a pathway that guides the user from the broadest category to the narrowest, facilitating decision-making (brand > model > configuration). Previously, customers had to go through the configuration process or search for offers on their own.
